How we’re going…entries and all that

It seems crazy to talk about the number of places left when the race is still a quite a few months away but there’s been a healthy demand for entries this year.  We’re not saying we’re nearly sold out or anything like that, in fact we think at the current rate we’ll be looking at filling up mid to late January so you’ve still got a bit of time.  We’re just saying that if you’re the kind of person to leave committing to stuff until the last moment you might want to get your hurry on.

There’s been a fantastic response to the Beat Bowel Cancer Aotearoa fundraising page which is truly heartwarming.  There are a little over 30 places left in this category so if this is something you would like to take part in you should commit now…If you do miss out on a charity place for next year you can still support BBCA by sponsoring another runner’s fundraising site by clicking here or the Fundraise Online icon on the BBCA page.

The other category that’s receiving a bit of attention is The Dash, with a bunch of people wanting to speed around the course.  As always our advice is to get in early if you want to secure a place with pace….if that’s not too cheesy?

In other news look out for a few changes at the Start/Finish line; we’re going all gourmet this year with Cloudy Bay Clams, Premium Game, Hairy Mussel co, hopefully a sheep on a spit and of course Pataka’s wonderful produce.  The famous chicken pies will be back as will the sausage sizzle, the Saint Clair wine tent, Renaissance Brewing Company, massage, a fantastic band and more…As for the course; we’ve got more bands, more food and a course you’ll love so your run, walk or run/walk will be entertaining with a few surprises.
