Pick a plan and stick to it! 

The best way to motivate your self is to enter an event and then work towards it.  By filling out that entry form you have made a commitment to not only yourself, but also to your friends, family and training partners, and you will find yourself more motivated to get out there and train.

Once you’ve made that commitment you also need to decide how you are going to reach your goal.  If you haven’t done a half marathon before, it can be quite daunting and 21.1 kms seems like an awfully long way!  However with the right training program in place, you can achieve your goal safely and confidently.  So commit, enter and choose a training plan.   Once you’ve begun a training program, don’t chop and change between programs, or you’ll come unstuck and could find yourself either overtrained or undertrained for the event.
